Samsung Galaxy Grand 2-First Impresion

Samsung has announced the successor to the Galaxy Grand, the Galaxy Grand 2. The South Korean handset maker has not revealed the price for Galaxy Grand 2 and has also not announced the availability details for the smartphone.
The Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. The Galaxy Grand 2 is a dual-SIM device with support for GSM+GSM. It features a 5.2-inch HD TFT display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels.

What’s Inside:

Display, battery and memory are important parts of a smartphone, but the processor plays a vital role as well. The Grand series of phones fits into the mid range segment, thus they are powered by some basic but fast CPUs.

Samsung Galaxy Grand GT-I9082 is powered by a 1.2 GHz Dual Core Cortex-A9 processor. Whereas, the Galaxy Grand Quattro GT-I8552 is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor with a Snapdragon 200 chipset. However, the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor, the company has not confirmed the chipset, but its expected to be the Snapdragon 400.

To provide a more intuitive user experience, the Galaxy Grand 2 comes equipped with several smart features that continue to set the Galaxy series apart from other smartphone devices on the market, including enhanced camera features like Best Face, Best Photo and Continuous Shot, as well as:

•     S Translator: A translation service that provides instantaneous translations at any time
•     S Travel: Provides guides and travel information for your next trip
•     Sound & Shot: Record up to nine seconds of audio with your photos
•     Samsung Hub: Unique content service that provides access to music, videos, games and more
•     Group Play: To listen to music , share documents or play games together
•     Samsung Link: Connects your devices so you can access photos, music, videos and documents from multiple locations

Overall Build and Design:

The design is absolutely similar to its elder brother. Their is nothing to talk about. Samsung is committed to using Plastic in its budget Android phones.The Grand 2 appears to be slightly thinner, however the major difference is the Leather stitched back cover which will undoubtedly give a premium look to the device.

Memory:

Samsung is known for being flexible when it is about giving its users freedom to opt for external storage. Approximately all Samsung devices allow users to expand the memory through Micro SD cards. However, apart from storage, RAM plays a crucial part especially when it comes to everyday usage of the smartphone. Sufficient amount of RAM and good RAM management are very important.

The Galaxy Grand GT-I9082 and the Galaxy Grand Quattro GT-I8552 are equipped with the same 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage. The Galaxy Grand 2 is equipped with a 1.5 GB of RAM but the same 8 GB of internal storage. Not to forget, as said above all these phones have the option to boost up memory via Micro SD.

Battery:

The Samsung Galaxy Grand has been known to have good battery life. Not the best we have seen, but it manages to last a day with normal usage. The Galaxy Grand GT-I9082 is packed with a 2100 mAh battery. On the other hand, the Galaxy Quattro GT-I8552 is equipped with a 2000 mAh battery. Whereas, the new family member, the Galaxy Grand 2 is packed with a 2600 mAh battery(17 hrs)
